                             Reflexology

The Ultimate Experience for your feet and body!

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is so much more than a simple foot massage procedure. Reflexology is a compression/release technique that when done correctly, induces an extremely deep relaxation response. It treats the entire body through applying pressure to reflexes in the feet which are linked to other parts of the body.

In short, reflexology is an extremely relaxing procedure which normalizes functions, relieves stress, heals and rebalances the body and can leave you feeling completely re-energised! This wonderful rebalancing treatment can bring on amazing results.

“Being a stroke victim I suffer a lot with paranoia, stress and anxiety and these treatments make me feel so much calmer and relaxed for days afterwards.

I was so impressed with the reflexology treatment because Lorna found things that had been missed by other reflexologists in the past – I was really shocked by that!  Ricky - Norfolk

How does reflexology treatment work?

Reflexology, the application of pressure with the hands to the reflex areas on the feet breaks down these deposits, to clear the blockage, helping restore homeostasis (balance within the body), vitality and well being, plus triggering relaxation which can then help reduce stress to the body even further.

Whenever we suffer from stress, illness, injury or pain, Energy flow around the body can become blocked and this in turn can contribute towards illness, physical problems and a lack of wellbeing.

‘Crystallized’ or ‘crunchy/lumpy’ areas can form on the area of the foot which correlates to the imbalance in the body, for example if you had a recent cold or flu, gritty deposits may be felt in the bottom of the foot which correlates to our chest and lung area (see diagram below)

Endorphins are also released (the body's natural pain killers) into the blood stream, which combats pain.  Circulation of oxygen and nutrients are also improved, aiding the removal of waste products.

Reflexology works on both a physical and emotional level, as it induces deep relaxation, which in turn can cause a release of emotions.  When the body is in this state of deep relaxation, it is able to function more efficiently.

However, as everyone responds differently to Reflexology, you may find that a regular of session is required to feel the full benefits.

How Many treatments will I need?

This depends on the person as everyone is different. Some people may have lots of unbalanced areas from previous illness or injury perhaps, which need subsequent treatments if they would like them to be cleared. Other people like to have reflexology occasionally to help them stay balanced and relaxed as a health M.O.T. Some people simply enjoy the pampering experience every now and then.

Plus - you don't  need to be ill or stressed to have the treatment, it will benefit most people.

“I really look forward to a weekly treatment because it is the most fantastic way to have some 'me' time and spoil myself as well as working on the areas which are imbalanced. I love the way it sends me into a trance like state that I

never want to come out of!!”

Gwendoline. J. Norwich

Your first treatment will last around 1 hour and 30 minutes as I will need to give you an initial assessment and I will need to find out some history of your health state before we begin. Follow on treatments will then last for around 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes depending your needs.

First full treatment (1hr 30 mins) includes foot spa - £30

Follow on treatments (1hr 15 mins) includes foot spa - £25

“It was just utterly amazing, at first I was unsure of what to expect from the results, but I came out feeling totally relaxed and the next day I seemed to have so much more energy! I will definitely be taking up regular treatments” Diana  L. Trowse
